On November 27, a pair of adult white cranes (Grus leucogeranus) took a baby crane to appear at the South Lake in Yuhang, Hangzhou.

The white crane (Grus leucogeranus) is the national first-class protected animal, with the global quantity of less than 4,000, belonging to the critically endangered species; 98 percent of white cranes overwinter at Poyang Lake. The eastern population is currently the only existing migratory population. After many years of wetland conservation, the South Lake in Yuhang has become the important stopover site for this population during migration.
