In November, "Video2DanceBot" Robot developed by the team of Hangzhou Innovation Institute of Beihang University won the first prize at the IROS 2025 Robot Dancing Competition, displaying Hangzhou's innovative vitality in the field of humanoid robots.

The development of this robot only takes 20 days, breaking through the limitation of the traditional robot that requires motion capture systems. The robot can learn dance movements directly through dance videos.
"Dancing is the concentrated display of robots' perception, movement and control abilities."In the view of Team Leader Yu Xiaolong, humanoid robots are still at the imitation stage, and it is planned to enable robots to take up the suitable "post" in the future.
