Recently, Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., the first commercial remote sensing satellite company of China, set up thesecond headquartersin Hangzhou, with the planned annual output of 1,000 satellites.

The world's first satellite with full-metal 3D-printed main structure, developed by Hangzhou City University and Zhejiang Lab,will be put into use soon. Compared with traditional satellite, its weight reduces by 30 percent, and the production cycle shortens by 50 percent. It is expected to achieve the "monthly production"of satellites.

In April this year, theFifth Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporationlaunched China's first commercial satellite full-industry chain "supermarket"in Hangzhou, to store multiple commercial satellites and their components, and enable the one-stop procurement for satellite manufacturing.

Hangzhou is making efforts to develop advanced manufacturing and space technology, and keeps advancing from "clouds"to "stars".
