Recently, the China Media Group (CMG) World Robot Competition - Mecha Fighting Series, the first-ever humanoid robot fighting tournament, kicked off in Hangzhou. Four G1 humanoid robots developed by Unitree Robotics conduct a fierce competition to show fighting actions such as grappling and kicking.

These robots are trained based on the movements of processional fighters and controlled by operators with different specialized backgrounds during the event. According to professionals, fighting robots have a stronger power system, more accurate algorithms and limb control ability, and a more robust mechanical structure compared with ordinary robots.
