The Asian University Basketball League (AUBL) was officially established on May 22. The first event will be held in Hangzhou on August 18-24. Twelve Asian university teams from the Republic of Korea, China, Japan, and other countries and regions will participate in the event.

Starting from 2026, AUBL will be upgraded to the event that lasts six months with the home-and-away system. In the end, the quarter-finals are held at the neutral venues, and the players compete for the champion.

The event is hosted by the AsianUniversity Sports Federation (AUSF), with a purpose tocreate the top regional basketball gamesand boost the sports development of universities in Asia.
