Zhejiang's first archaeological museum to open soon

Linping Yujiashan Archaeological Museum, the first archaeological museum of Zhejiang, will open on May 18.

The museum has three exhibition halls, presenting the7,000-year human life history and 5,000-year civilization development historyof Linping through 13 units. There are about 1,800 cultural relics on display, covering jade ware, stone tool, pottery and other artifacts made in Liangzhu Period.

The museum also sets up an accessible exhibition hall, with blind sidewalk, tactile model,sound theaterand other facilities, to serve the impaired.

Depending on the archaeological achievements of Yujiashan Site, the museum cooperates with several colleges & universities to create the sci-tech protection base, and will continue to launch the public archaeological education activities in the future to make cultural heritages "come alive".
