On May 8, an art exhibition in honor of Marco Polo was held at China Academy of Art in Hangzhou, with 84 precious cultural relics of Italy from the 13th century to the 20th century, including oil paintings, sculptures, ceramics, jewelry, and textiles.

Among them, the parchment manuscript ofHuanyuji(also known asThe Travels of Marco Polo) madein the early 16th century is very eye-catching, with large illustrations, to vividly depict the oriental landscape of Hangzhou as "the most splendid city in the world"described by Marco Polo.

Quite a few exhibits come from China to show the cultural exchange betweeneastern and western countries.
