The BRICS Deep-sea Resources International Research Center was set up in Hangzhou on April 24.

The center is engaged in deep-sea mineral resources, oil & gas, cold spring exploration, environmental governance, development of energy technology and equipment, and other fields, and focuses on the scientific research advantages of the BRICS, to promote international cooperation and providestrategic consultationand solutions for sustainable development.
