Hangzhou holds World Wetland Day Activity

On January 20, Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Forestry & Water Resources held the World Wetland Day Activity at Chinese Wetland Museum, to announce achievements of wetland conservation in Hangzhou, and unveil the first batch of the municipal wetlands.

At present, Hangzhou's wetlands, spanning 134,300 hectares, and 63.8 percent of them has been well-protected, passing "international wetland cities" assessment with high scores. In recent years, Hangzhou has released wetland protection regulations to clarify the protection actions.

In September this year, Hangzhou will host the Fifth World Congress of Biosphere Reserves, striving to contribute Hangzhou's efforts to the world biodiversity conservation.
