According to Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism, Hangzhou received 1,166,900 inbound tourists in 2024, with a year-on-year increase of 107.8 percent while foreign tourists consumption reached 828 million dollars, with a year-on-year growth of 138.2 percent.

Hangzhou's inbound tourists are mainly from USA, Malaysia and the Republic of Korea. West Lake's Broken Bridge, Lingyin Temple and other scenic areas become popular destinations for overseas tourists.

Last year, Hangzhou released multiple measures to accelerate the recovery of inbound tourism, such as implementing visa-free policies, bettering payment services, and offering digital tourism service platforms (English version).
